Match Review: AS Roma vs AC Milan

What a win!! I definitely didn’t expect that, even though I predicted the score to be 2-0 to Milan on my preview for AS Roma vs AC Milan! AC Milan beats Roma 2-0 at at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to goals from Cutrone and Calabria. 

It was a terrible first half by both teams, Roma had 3 shots and Milan had 0 shots. Roma played better in the first half, but both teams played a boring football match in the first half. 

Second half, I think Gattuso was about to kill the players. AC Milan entered the second half with a new identity.

Some missed opportunities but then Cutrone scored a beautiful goal after Suso’s assist in the 48’ minute.

In the 64’ minute we had the first change of the game, Dzeko got subbed in for Nainggolan. A clear signal for Milan’s defence.

68′ minute: Cutrone goes off and Kalinic takes his position in the game. 5 minutes later Cengiz Ünder was subbed off with Defrel. This is the first game without goal Ünder, in the last 5 matches.

74′ Calabria scores a beauty after a fantastic assist from Kalinic, 2-0 Milan. Never thought this could happen!!!

Other substitutions: 80′  Gerson comes on for Pellegrini (Roma)

84′  Borini comes on for Suso (Milan)

90′  Montolivo comes on for Bonaventura (Milan)

Top 3: Cutrone, Calabria, Calhanoglu

Flop 3: Nobody!!

Others played a nice match!

Borini, Kalinic and Romagnoli could have scored a third one but they missed some great opportunities. Anyway everybody played a great match!!

Stat of the day: 470 minutes of clean sheet for Gigio Donnarumma!!

Milan wins a great match, an impossible one. Passion, heart and great football, this is what Milan is giving us lately!
