In a thrilling game at the San Siro Milan extend their unbeaten run from 9 to 10 games. Milan was facing the team above them in the table and are now tied with them thanks to a goal from Giacomo Bonaventura. The line-up looked like this: Gigio Donnaruma in the goal, Bonucci and Romagnoli partner up in the defense, Calabria and Rodriguez are the fullbacks, in the middle of the park is the trio of Bonaventura, Biglia and Montolivo taking place of Kessie who is resting, and the attacking trident is Calhanoglu, Cutrone and Suso.
Milan was pressuring Sampdoria’s goal from the start and received a penalty at the 6’ minute from a handball from a Sampdoria defender. Rodriguez took the penalty and the Swiss left back shot it right at the keeper, and the score remained 0-0. An attacked started by Suso who passed it off to Calabria who crossed it in for Bonventura to score with a first time finish into the back of the net, 1-0 for Milan. Towards the end of the first half Milan won a freekick and a cross from Calhanoglu found our captain Bonucci who put it in the back of the net to make i 2-0, but the referee reviewed the play and called the goal offside. Milan had chance after chance but nothing was going their way past Viviano, Sampdoria’s goalkeeper, until the 59’ minute, a cross from the left side of the pitch found Suso but failed to convert the shot as that was the best chance to extend the lead. The last chance of the game Milan had came at the 88’ minute as Calabria was flying down the right side of the pitch, he got a pass from Andre Silva, but Calabria blasted it to the far post but Viviano was there to stop it.
