Arsenal center mid Jack Wilshere has been linked to a move to Milan as he struggles to agree on a deal with his current club.
The midfielder has been a key player in Arsenal’s campaign this season, mainly impacting the game in an indirect way. He is known for his amazing passing ability, on average he has a pass completion rate of 86.2 percent in all competitions. He was on the verge of leaving Arsenal. Earlier this season, he was told that the North London side will not be willing to offer him a new contract. Now it looks like the Gunners are willing to negotiate with the Englishman as he is attracting interest from Milan and Juventus. This is what he had to say:
"At the start of the season, Arsene Wenger approached me in the gym and told me that the club would not be offering me a new contract, so if you get an offer from another club, you can leave. I was disappointed of course but appreciated his honesty. He told me that if I decided to stay, I would still have the opportunity to fight for my place in the team and if I did well in the league and Europa League, I could have a chance of getting a renewal."
The 26-year-old has done well this season, helping Arsenal climb the table in the Premier League and leading them in a strong Europa League campaign, even knocking out AC Milan.
The Rossoneri are considering going in for Wilshere as they want to reinforce their options in the midfield. Milan needs high-quality center mids in case one of them gets injured or suspended. Locatelli and Montolivo are the backup options for the current midfield, Gattuso is looking to bring more skill to the team as he wants a player that he rely on during any match.
The contract of the playmaker ends this summer and current has a market value of €18 million.
